About us

Paseo y Pista is a collection of paper adventures for exploring the city as a family: one booklet per place, a mystery to solve on foot and a grown-up alongside.

How it began

We moved to Madrid and wanted our little one to get to know the city with curiosity: looking closely, asking questions and daring to try new things.

We were looking for ways to learn and grow together, with time to talk and no phone needed to play. Paseo y Pista grew from that idea. Every city, a new chapter.

What children practise on every adventure

We want our children to learn to get on in real life, not only behind a screen. Every adventure gives chances to practise that, with a grown-up alongside and safety always in adult hands:

  • Planning: choosing where to start and putting the steps of the walk in order.
  • Anticipating: thinking about what to look for and whether there is time before snack.
  • Deciding: picking the way at a crossing and changing plan when needed.
  • Observing: finding the clues by really looking at the street.
  • Talking: telling what they saw and what was tricky.

Every route, walked on foot

Before an adventure is printed, we walk its route: we check that every clue can be found by looking from the street and that the walk fits into an afternoon at the pace of a 6 to 9-year-old.

The Archive of Little Stories

Every adventure starts in the same place: the Archive of Little Stories, where each city's small stories are kept. When the wind blows its letters away, it takes a sharp-eyed team to bring them back, and in every place a different guardian is waiting.

On paper, not in an app

A booklet fits in a backpack, is written in with a pencil and ends up in the box of keepsakes. Children investigate, write and stick; the grown-up comes along. The phone can stay in a pocket.

One city, one envelope

Every city has its pack: its adventures, cards for the grown-up, an illustrated map, a collection passport and stickers, all in a kraft envelope. The new edition is Madrid; Barcelona and Valencia are coming soon.

Partner places

We are adding bookshops, shops and family spaces near the routes, where you will be able to pick up the pack and take home a sticker when you finish an adventure.
